Aside from the tables, it doesn't really look like a restaurant from the outside. More like a shabby vegetable stand. I've heard great things about this place though, especially their fish tacos.
I ordered a chicken burrito, a chicken tamale, 2 steak tacos, and a fish taco, to go. Instead of waiting I walked with my son to the two nearby Mexican markets looking for some Horchata. My order was ready when we got back, it took a little under 10 minutes.
My husband ate the chicken burrito. He said "It could have used some guacamole. I think if it had guacamole it would have been pretty perfect." I took a bite, covered in salsa verde, it was good. It wasn't super fantastic, but a decent example of a burrito.
The chicken tamale had good texture. The flavor wasn't anything spectacular.

The steak tacos were good. I got them with onions and ciliantro. Apparently you can get them "with everything" which was onion, cilantro, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream for a quarter more. They were a little dry but that was easily rectified with the lime.

The fish taco was actually really good. It was definitely the tastiest thing that I ordered. I have no idea what was on it though. It looked (and tasted) like a tartar sauce/cole slaw combination with some cilantro thrown in.

So, in conclusion, the fist taco was really good, but overall Carmen's Taqueria is better.
